A Letter From CK Satyapriya: Fall 2022

A letter from our President CK Satyapriya for Fall 2022.  Each quarter the President & CEO of CTL Engineering addresses our clients and employee-owners.

Dear Client and Employee-owner:

In 2003 I wrote – “As the end of the calendar year draws nears, it is a time of reflection on the events that have happened and a chance to learn from them. This year has passed relatively quickly, with much turmoil experienced around the world. The world is slowly recovering from a recession, albeit the recovery is slow and not necessarily uniform across geography and population. Hopefully, next year will be an improvement, and we will all benefit from it.”

 

Unfortunately, besides the recession sentence, the above status is almost the same. There is dissension and polarization across the world. I read that more than 2 Million persons have become refugees due to war. In this country, “Us vs. Them” is rampant. I call myself a hopeless optimist, but the state of the world and the country sometimes makes me cynical. 

 

I want to quote Mahatma Gandhi:

 

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words

Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior

Keep your behavior positive because your behavior become your habits

Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values

Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny

 

These are challenging times for the nation and many individuals. Let us all come together, share our good fortune, and lessen the burden of the unfortunate. Do what you can for your fellow man. Every little thing helps. An ocean is made of drops of water. Spread cheer through laughter. Enjoy each and every activity to the utmost. 

 

The outlook for CTL is good. Thanks to all of you, CTL is continuing to grow.  

Finally, let us all remain positive for CTL, the nation, and humanity.
