Job Title: Civil Engineer
General Statement of Duties (Job Posting Purposes):
CTL is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Survey and Civil Site Design Department in Morgantown, WV. The position is full-time with competitive pay base on experience. CTL Engineering, Inc. is a full-service Consulting Engineering, Testing, Inspection, and Analytical Services Company. Formerly known as Columbus Testing Laboratory, the company was established in 1927 as a privately held, independent engineering and testing laboratory serving the local community. CTL became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 1990.
Examples of Duties: (Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all that may be found in this job.):
• Lead Civil Engineering Projects for Energy, Institutional, and Commercial Projects
• Client Development on Civil Site Engineering tasks
• Lead assigned Project Teams
• Responsible for Task Management on assigned Projects (schedules, budges, and quality of work)
• Ensures a smooth interface with other disciplines within the company and Project Team
• Lead Civil Site Engineering Tasks including:
o Site Grading Plans
o Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
o Stormwater Management Plans
o Hydrologic and Hydraulic/Drainage Plans
o Permit Applications
o Road Development
o Construction Drawings, Specifications, Quality Control Plans
o Construction Cost Estimates
o Construction Administration
Education, Experience and Physical Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (MS a plus)
• Minimum EIT (PE preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of Experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Autocad Civil 3D
Additional Requirements:
• Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to obtain safety training certifications when applicable
