Safety First: Highlights from Allied’s 16th Annual Safety Days
CTL Engineering, Inc., is proud to spotlight the success of our 16th annual "Safety Days" event, held on February 27-28, 2025, at our Allied Environmental Services subsidiary in Lima, Ohio. The two-day event was a profound demonstration of our ongoing commitment to safety and employee well-being across all our operations.
Organized by CTL’s Corporate Safety Officer, Tyler Beemer, the event saw impressive participation from Allied employees and industry experts. This year, we enhanced the training by inviting notable industry partners and vendors, who provided a robust lineup of informative and interactive sessions. Highlights included the Allen County Chapter of the American Red Cross on blood-borne pathogens, ProMedica EAP on drug-free workplace policies, and Malta Dynamics with insights into fall protection standards.
Further enriching the experience, Shawnee Township Fire Department led hands-on fire extinguisher and AED training. Meanwhile, Phelan Insurance offered valuable sessions on workplace harassment and defensive driving, including a cutting-edge mobile Driver Training Simulator that placed participants in realistic driving scenarios.
Our special guests, Matt Elkins from Cenovus Energy and Crystal Jackson, a Cenovus Safety Specialist, shared their expertise on hazardous waste management and accident/incident reporting, respectively. These sessions underscored the depth of training provided, ensuring that every participant left with increased knowledge and skills to uphold our high safety standards.
At CTL-Allied, we recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset, and their safety is our top priority. We extend a heartfelt "thank you" to all who participated and contributed to making this year’s Safety Days a monumental success. Special thanks go to our friends at American Red Cross, ProMedica, Malta Dynamics, Shawnee Township F.D., Phelan Insurance, and Cenovus. We also appreciate the support from United Rentals and Rain-4-Rent for sponsoring meals and Jendco Safety for donating safety-related prizes.
Together, we are enhancing the safety culture within CTL Engineering and our subsidiaries, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed industry standards. Here’s to continuing our tradition of excellence and safety at future Safety Days events!
