A letter from our President CK Satyapriya for Fall 2024.  Each quarter the President & CEO of CTL Engineering addresses our clients and employee-owners.

Dear valued clients of CTL Engineering:

I wish you all a Happy New Year. As we welcome the winter quarter 2024, it’s time to reflect on noteworthy events and achievements. From environmental challenges to groundbreaking discoveries and individual accomplishments, 2023 has been filled with diverse stories. We highlight some of them in this newsletter.

Rebuilding Eastern Kentucky: The Challenges of Developing on Mine Spoil Sites

The Appalachian region has long been a focal point for discussions on sustainable development. Including development on mine spoil sites. These sites, often characterized by degraded soil and altered landscapes, pose significant hurdles for construction and revitalization projects.

Communities, environmentalists, and policymakers are working together to find innovative solutions to address these challenges. Initiatives like reforestation, soil remediation, and community engagement programs aim to restore the natural habitat and create sustainable opportunities for the local population. Unlocking the Mysteries of the Mexican Duck – A New Species Exploration

The blog sheds light on the importance of biodiversity conservation and the need for continuous research to understand and protect our planet’s unique species. The Mexican Duck serves as a reminder that there are still many mysteries waiting to be unraveled in the natural world bringing us one step closer to understanding the diverse tapestry of life on Earth.

CTL Welcomes a New CGO

As the company expands its reach and undertakes new projects, Joe Warino’s addition as CTL’s Chief Growth Officer reflects its commitment to continuing its growth. His expertise and experience bring diverse perspectives to the organization, contributing to its growth and success.

Service Awards and Employee of the Year Recognition

The CTL Corporate Christmas party held at the Veteran Memorial Museum was a platform to celebrate outstanding achievements and service within the company. Service awards for 2023 were distributed, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment. Among the recipients, Dan Westphal stood out as he was named the Employee of the Year, highlighting his exemplary contributions to the organization.

As we bid farewell to 2023, these highlights serve as a testament to the ongoing pursuit of knowledge, environmental sustainability, professional growth, and community service. We, employee-owners, thank you for the trust you have bestowed upon us to serve you. I am pleased to inform you that we continue to grow with the addition of Allied Environmental Services to the CTL Team in 2023. We look forward to continuing to serve you and our communities.
