A letter from our President CK Satyapriya for Fall 2020. Each quarter the President & CEO of CTL Engineering addresses our clients and employee-owners.
Dear Valued Client,
The year 2020 has magnified the need for us to work together as well as reveal the disparity in our economic and social status. Unfortunately, the divisions within our country have been politicized to our detriment. This Us versus Them mentality makes it hard to listen and understand opposing viewpoints. A successful democracy is an agreement through discussion, not by force or dictums. The decision may be different than the one we had hoped.
In my last letter, I opined on the need for us to be considerate of the less privileged. CTL has pledged to thank our communities by giving back and providing an opportunity to thrive. One such example is our employees’ generous donation to feed the hungry. Over the course of October, CTL employees made monetary donations to local food pantries. CTL committed to match that donation dollar for dollar and all together, we were able to raise almost $8,500! We think this will encourage our employees to see the benefits of giving forward.
I am sure all of us had hoped that this pandemic would have ended by now. Unfortunately, it appears to be resurging. I am confident that we will come together and overcome this virus. For the next two months, family gatherings are the norm. However, this year I hope we listen to the scientists and health experts and adapt our practices to minimize the spread of this virus.
Until the next time, please be safe and healthy.
