A Letter From CK Satyapriya: Summer 2018
A letter from our President CK Satyapriya for Summer 2018. Each quarter the President & CEO of CTL Engineering addresses our clients and employee-owners.
Dear Valued Client,
Rabindranath Tagore stated that “You cannot cross the sea by merely standing and staring at the water”. It is effort that’s needed to achieve one’s goals. You really cannot accomplish a lot if the goals you set for yourself are not a stretch. Think of the adage, “You reap what you sow”. As Macbeth’s goal to be the king fashioned his actions, the culture of an organization is similarly fashioned based on its goal. Our broad vision at CTL is to be recognized as a premier consulting, engineering, and testing company. We will work hard to meet our goal and exceed your expectations.
As employee-owners, we take pride in our ability to meet the current business climate. Whether by furthering our education, changing our processes, or implementing new and advanced technology, we provide the best service we can to you, our client, while always retaining our core values. This has been our track record since the beginning, 91 years ago.
In this newsletter, you will read about a service we have provided for many decades and a service that is very new, demonstrating the breadth of our capabilities.
You are likely aware that the unemployment rate is historically low right now and is compounded by the impending retirement of senior staff. Currently, the STEM field is experiencing a lack of available, trained workforce. We are all affected by this. CTL is seeking to fill many positions in most of our offices. If you know someone who may be interested in becoming an employee-owner with CTL, we would love to know. They can contact our HR department or apply through our website.
We are also about giving back. CTL is committed to giving both financially and with service. We support education with our recent re-establishment of The Ohio State University’s Engineering Lab. We support healthy living and a reduction in heart disease through donations to The American Heart Association Heart Walk. We support kids’ causes by judging school science competitions and by partnering with Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We encourage and are proud of our employee-owners who participate.
Finally, we are thankful for the opportunity to be of service and with your help and guidance, continued growth over the next 91 years.
Sincerely,
C.K. Satyapriya, P.E., D. GE, F. ASCE
