CK Satyapriya Wins the ACEC Community Service Award

The nominees for this prestigious award are expected to embody outstanding individuals who have dedicated themselves to community service, actively participating in various boards, commissions, and community groups. C.K. stands out as an exemplary candidate, having served as President or a board member for numerous organizations deeply committed to community betterment. Most notably, he has been an active member of the Columbus Rotary since 1984 and served as its President from 2014 to 2015. He also played a crucial role as Vice Chair of the Asian Indian Alliance of Ohio from 1998 to 1999 and has generously given back to future generations by mentoring at the American Society of Civil Engineers.

C.K.’s unwavering dedication to his community spans several decades, and his efforts have consistently earned him recognition as a community leader. In 2014, he received the Immigrant Entrepreneur of the Year award from TIE Ohio. In 2021, he was honored as a Leader Honoree, and most recently, he was granted the Lifetime Achievement award by the Asian American Commerce Group.

Beyond his professional life, C.K. extends his influence to shape decisions on a wide range of societal issues, actively contributing to the betterment of our community. His involvement with the Rotary has led to initiatives such as Map USA in local schools and Honey Suckle clearing at Metro Parks. He has been a steadfast member of the local Infrastructure Committee at the Chamber of Commerce for many years and has generously supported organizations like the American Heart Association, Columbus Partnership, WOSU, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, among others. Moreover, C.K. has directly impacted young minds by serving as Principal for a Day at Columbus Schools, educating children about the field of engineering. Through his extensive civic engagement, C.K. has left an indelible mark on our community, significantly enhancing our quality of life.
