CTL Bolsters Team with 43 New Experts, Strengthens Presence in Transportation and Environmental Services

As part of its efforts to grow and expand client services, CTL acquired 43 new employees earlier this month. These employees specialize in transportation design, civil engineering, and environmental services, and they have offices in Chantilly, VA, Raleigh, NC, and Columbia, SC.

This is the second acquisition CTL has made in less than six months, growing their number of employees by more than 80 to 350.

Both acquisitions are part of an effort to increase the diversity of services CTL offers in alignment with its clients’ growing needs.

Although CTL has offered civil engineering and environmental services for some time, the acquisition will help deepen the resources available for projects as well as add transportation design to CTL’s growing list of expertise. Additionally, it will help CTL offer these services in a new region.

“This move signifies new opportunities for growth and diversity in services and geography,” CTL President and CEO CK Satyapriya said. “By joining forces, we are poised to unlock new potential and broaden our impact across the region. With expanded operations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, we are better equipped than ever to serve our clients and communities with excellence.”

While both acquisitions happened relatively close together, both had been planned and considered for several years. CTL’s core values, mission, and commitment to excellence remain steadfast.

“We will continue to prioritize our clients, uphold our quality standards, and foster a supportive and inclusive work environment,” Satyapriya said.

This new acquisition, which is now being called CTL South, promises to create several areas of overlap between the two firms. Both firms have historically worked extensively with state DOTs, and by offering a wider array of services, CTL hopes to simplify client projects by expanding services and geography.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to assist the expansion of CTL Engineering in the Southern States.  We have an excellent group of professionals, and we are happy to be a part of the CTL family and contribute to the future successes of CTL,” said Paul Mattox, CTL’s future Chief Growth Officer.

Regional Manager Dean Hatfield agreed. He said the new team is excited they’ll have an opportunity to continue to serve existing clients while also being part of the growth at CTL.

“The depth of resources provided by CTL meshes seamlessly with our existing relationships and skills.  The support from the CTL Team in the transition has been nothing but awesome,” Hatfield said.
