Our New Virginia Branch!
CTL has acquired the Virginia-based geotechnical engineering, inspection, and testing division of Burgess & Niple, Inc. located in Chantilly, Virginia, effective September 15th, 2017.
New Location
With CTL now expanding into a new geographic area, we will be able to provide services in DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia), as well as the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. “With the addition of experienced staff, we will add to our capability in the services in which we excel. Our existing national clients will be pleased that we will provide services with our own employee-owners in the region, which will ensure quality and responsiveness that CTL is known for. We look forward to providing other services such as Building Envelope Engineering, Inspection, and other specialized services, as well. We are excited to welcome an experienced staff that will augment our capacities”, said CK Satyapriya, President & CEO of CTL Engineering.
New Team
Michael Sun, P.E., who joined Burgess & Niple in 2003, earned his MS, Geotechnical Engineering at Syracuse University. He is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) – Geo-Institute/ M.ASCE, ASCE National Capital Section, Geotechnical Executive Committee and Board of Directors 2003-2015, to name a few. Sun will continue to manage this branch with support from Tatjana Berg, E.I.T., and Ali Sheikhbahaei, P.E.. “I’m looking forward to establishing the Virginia Branch office for CTL and to bring additional expertise, specialty services, and geotechnical capabilities from CTL to the DMV areas. I am very proud to be joining CTL as it approaches its 100th year in business and to be instrumental in expanding CTL’s geographical coverage,” said Sun.
