Dr. Wayne Karem: Geotechnical and Drilling Services Principal

Wayne has 40 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer.   He started his career at Law Engineering, where he became the Principal. Dr. Karem joined QORE, an engineering firm, in 1998 and was a board of directors member for many years. 2008, Dr. Karem joined Vector Engineers to expand the small civil engineering firm into geotechnical engineering.  Due to the success of Vector, CTL Engineering acquired the firm in 2019.

Dr. Karem has served on many boards and committees throughout his career. He is sought by various organizations to help and is a recognized stalwart of the engineering industry.  He is an adjunct Professor at the University of Kentucky (since 2004), where he periodically teaches soil mechanics when the University has a need.  He has several publications, including winning the “Outstanding Paper of 2007” from the Journal of Performance of Constructed Facilities presented by the ASCE.  He has a BS, MS and PhD in civil engineering with a specialization in geotechnical engineering and is designated a Diplomate by the American Society of Engineers.

He has been married for 37 years to Teresa, a retired educator, and has four children and two grandchildren.

Erin Schwarz: Human Resource & Benefits Coordinator

Erin recently started CTL on 5/1/23 as our full-time recruiter. Erin displayed great initiative during her short time and expressed interest in exploring a career in human resources. Effective 8/7/23, Erin will be CTL’s new HR & Benefits Coordinator. We are very excited about this move and look forward to helping Erin achieve her goals within HR.

During her short months here at CTL, Erin has seen a lot of team culture and loves the culture created for its employees. Erin is excited to be in her new role! She always has a smile on and is happy to answer your benefit questions!

Foxie Clemens: Senior Billing Assistant and Training Specialists.

Foxie has been promoted as of 8/6/23 to Senior Billing Assistant & Training Specialist. She will be taking an active role in the CTL University Module set up for Accounting to assist the PMs with effective and consistent eBRR billing procedures.

She has been with CTL for five years and brings her 20 years of background knowledge of Construction Services through EL Grant Construction and IOH Constructions services. She enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren and her family. Her hobbies include crocheting (making baby blankets for each grandchild as a welcome gift at birth), horseback riding, beach vacations, football- Go Bucks!  Go Steelers! and baking- where she won first place blue ribbon at the 2023 Ohio State Fair.

Aubrey Voss: Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Aubrey returned to CTL on 6/5/23 as the Accounts Receivable Supervisor. Aubrey is excited to be back with CTL, and she brings a strong background in accounts receivable and collections with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Aubrey is eager to take on this opportunity and looks forward to collaborating with the talented professionals at CTL Engineering.
Aubrey has one daughter, Violet, who is starting high school and will perform in the marching band for the first time this year.
In her spare time, she enjoys social outings with friends, going to the gym, and nature hikes at the local parks around Columbus.

Farah Mosleh: Financial Analyst

Farah started her career at CTL on 10/25/22 as a billing and finance assistant. Farah was committed to working with Colby and Ali to take on more financial responsibilities, leading to her promotion. She has been very effective and efficient in her role since she started with CTL. Farah enjoys going on walks, spending time by the beach and baking.

During Farah’s time at CTL, she advised everyone has been so supportive and helpful and willing to teach as she is learning her new role. Farah is very excited to continue her career at CTL!
