Promotions

CTL is pleased to announce that Wayne Karem, PhD, PE, PG, D.GE is the Geotechnical Regional Service Line Manager and Associate of the Company. He will lead the Geotechnical Services group in Kentucky, Indiana and Southwestern Ohio. Wayne was the President and Owner of Vector Engineers, and will continue to lead all services in Kentucky until all service lines are integrated across all states. 

Wayne brings a wealth of experience in leading engineering services beginning with Law Engineering. He graduated from University of Kentucky and University of Louisville with a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering. He established Vector Engineers to provide a variety of services across many states. Vector Engineers became a wholly subsidiary of CTL Engineering in June 2019. He is well known and liked by his many clients, employees and competitors as well. I am confident that under his leadership, CTL will continue to flourish while being recognized for the quality, ingenuity as well as practicality.

New Additions

CTL is excited to announce the addition of Paul Keffler, PE to its team.

As a Construction Project Engineer in CTL’s Akron, OH office, Paul will be instrumental in providing expertise and experience to ODOT and other local clients for their bridge and roadway construction projects. He brings a unique contractor perspective to CTL, and he will help expand our client base in Northeast Ohio. Paul will perform inspection and engineering on various projects and help develop and train our field staff.

Paul has over 32 years of practical and engineering experience in the construction industry. Before coming to CTL, Paul was the shared owner and Vice President of Keffler Bridge Company, a successful construction firm specializing in heavy highway construction with bridges. He was responsible for all aspects of the business, from estimating to project site supervision. His engineering responsibilities included concrete form design, excavation and cofferdam analysis, and the development of detailed demolition and erection plans. He possesses a broad range of technical and leadership skills and uses conscientious judgment and logic to determine practical solutions to challenging problems. He has experience managing projects ranging from $50K – $30M for ODOT and the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission.

Paul earned his BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio.

Newly Elected

 

CTL’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Ali Jamshidi, has been elected as Board Chair on the National ESOP Association. Ali has been very active in The ESOP Association and has served multiple leadership positions. Congratulations Ali!
